General History: Erica and Johnny met when Erica just graduated high school, and Johnny was beginning to start at his first job. When they married a year and a half later, neither had any idea of Johnny's magical lineage. When their oldest son Jack got two letters, one to Beauxbatons and one to Hogwarts, they were very surprised. However, after looking into it, they decided to move to France and have Jack attend Beauxbatons.
Jack took the whole magic thing relatively quickly, and assumed that his two sisters would also have magic. But Cassidy never received magical powers. Jack began to worry for his favorite sister, Sydney, whom he wanted to join him at Beauxbatons. Eventually she began to show magical signs as well, and Jack was delighted to have her at school with him.
Unfortunately, things changed again. The family decided to move to the United Kingdom, meaning that all the kids had to switch schools. Sydney and Jack were enrolled at Hogwarts, something Jack knew upset his sister greatly. He tried to help her out for a while, but lost track of her during the stress of his transition. So here he is, still thinking his best friend will always be his little sister.
